Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính on Saturday signed a decision issuing the strategy for developing Việt Nam’s semiconductor industry by 2030, with a vision to 2050.
Việt Nam has emerged as a new export market, especially in the field of information technology products while many countries are currently applying trade barriers to these products.
Việt Nam has a favourable location in Southeast Asia, a large supply of necessary rare-earth elements for semiconductor chip production, and a stable political environment. It is also actively pushing for the development of the semiconductor industry with favourable policies.
Việt Nam, with its strategic location, expanding digital infrastructure, highly skilled workforce and abundant young talent brimming with creativity, is rapidly emerging as a key player in the semiconductor industry, poised for immense growth in the coming years.
